Crawford Elementary was the beneficiary of landscaping improvements on June 10th 2016. This was the tenth year anniversary of the Children’s Hospital and Aurora Public Schools project partnership and it was a hot one! Children’s Hospital brought 50 volunteers to join in on the landscaping fun at Crawford Elementary on the hottest day of summer so far. The Aurora Public Schools Maintenance and Operations team provided a team of skilled professionals and together the two groups accomplished major projects of improvement at Crawford Elementary.  The project is made possible by the close partnership between Children’s Hospital, Aurora Public Schools and sponsor donations. This vital partnership has made it possible to complete $1.3 million dollars in projects at various Aurora Public Schools over the past ten years. Board Director Cathy Wildman, Board Director Eric Nelson and Board Treasurer Barbara Yamrick kicked off the event by recognizing the Children’s Hospital volunteers, the Maintenance and Operations team and sponsors of the project.
